Welcome to the first quarterly Codacy Product Showcase event of 2025! Let’s dive right into the new features we have to share.
Organization Metrics Dashboard
We’re excited to announce the rollout of a new Organization Metrics Dashboard for issues and insights. This dashboard allows users to:
- View metrics at an organization-wide level, providing an integrated view of quality state and its evolution.
- Filter by repository group, segment, category, and severity level to narrow down issues.
- Track metrics such as open issues, new issues, fixed issues, and issues per 1,000 lines of code. (Coming soon: prevented issues.)
- Export data as JSON or CSV for easy integration into other tools.
Dependency Explorer
Launched in December, the Dependency Explorer offers a unified view of application dependencies and their associated risks. Key features include:
- Daily proactive SCA (Software Composition Analysis) scans to identify dependency vulnerabilities.
- Insights into dependency versions, criticality, and licenses across repositories.
- Coming soon: Filtering and sorting options to streamline dependency management.
Business-tier users can now make more informed decisions about their dependencies, enhancing overall application security.
Segment Filtering for Findings
The Segments feature has been extended to the security and risk management dashboard, allowing users to:
- Filter findings by relevant segments, such as teams or repository groups.
- Focus on the most critical security issues relevant to their scope.
Ignore and Un-ignore Findings
Users can now ignore specific findings on the security and risk management page, enabling them to:
- Address findings deemed irrelevant due to specific conditions (e.g., isolated environments).
- Unignore findings later if circumstances change.
Future Roadmap
Here’s a sneak peek at what we’re working on:
- Enhanced Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST): Ongoing improvements to strengthen security scanning capabilities.
- Developer experience enhancements: New metrics to give teams deeper insights into their code’s quality and trustworthiness.
- GitHub enterprise integration: A holistic view of your enterprise’s repositories within Codacy.
- Issue relevance improvements: Tailored dashboards to surface the most critical issues.
