Hello there 👋,

We hope you’re having a great time over the holidays 🏖️ (if that’s the case).

Here are the Codacy product updates from July! Read below to find what the new features and product improvements are and more interesting news in the industry.

Code Patterns at the Organization Level – 1st Phase Released 🚀

Early July, we launched the first phase of the Copy Patterns at the org level. You are now able to copy tool and pattern configurations in bulk between your repositories. This will help you bootstrap and standardize the coding standards at the organization level. Learn more on our docs page.

Have you tried the Bulk Copy of Patterns and Tools yet? 🙋‍♂️

To import the tool and pattern configurations from another repository:

  1. Open your repository Code patterns and click Import patterns.
  2. Follow the instructions to select the source repository and complete the import.
  3. Review and adjust your tool and pattern configurations if necessary.

Learn more on our docs page.

Improved flexibility on Quality Settings – About to launch 🤩

We’re working on adding more flexibility to the Quality Settings. Not all issues are of equal importance. That’s why you’ll be able to set a threshold for the Severity of issues very soon. This will increase the flexibility of Quality Settings to better suit your code review needs.

Local Analysis within VSCode – Beta Plugin 🤩

Being a community driven product, Codacy has listened to one of the most common users requests and released, on beta, a plugin to see Codacy results on VSCode. Currently it takes advantage of Codacy CLI, performs the analysis and shows the output one the “problems” tab of VSCode. Feel free to download the binary here and let us know your honest feedback via the in-app chat. Keep in mind that it’s in beta stage. 🙂

We have a new landing page for Pulse ✨

Pulse is currently in an Open Beta!

We’d love for you to try it (no-commitment), and let us know what you think.

What’s our Mission? We want to support the continuous improvement of your engineering teams
with data-driven insights on how to deliver quality faster.
