Hi there 👋,
Here are a few product updates from May that we’ve been working on to improve your experience! We’re also giving back to your favorite OSS projects, so keep on reading to know more!
Redesign of the code patterns page 👩🎨
We know the navigation of our code patterns page was not ideal: it was not obvious that the tool name was clickable, which impacted our users’ ability to configure their rules.
We did a quick redesign of the code patterns to improve the visualization of the selected tool, by moving the on/off toggles to the left-hand side.
Diff Coverage now has a ∅ (nil) value 🙌
Diff coverage was blocking PRs when the diff contained only files not eligible for coverage (like tests and documentation), and it was not possible to use the Diff coverage gate.
Now, if a pull request doesn’t add or modify any coverable lines, the diff coverage is set to ∅ (not applicable).
What it means for you:
- No more PRs blocked if changes are only on files containing no coverage information.
- A new result for the diff coverage is seen on the UI (∅) so that you know that a coverage report was received but there are no actual coverable lines on that report.
You can see how much money you save with Codacy
Software developers are becoming one of the most important resources in the world. However, the average organization wastes up to 42% of its development time due to technical debt. That’s why we created a simple ROI calculator to show you how much you can save by using automated code reviews with Codacy.
Codacy gives back to your favorite OSS projects 🥰
We want to support more OSS projects at Codacy, and we would like YOU to tell us which one. Open Source Software helps developers and companies solve problems, innovate and find support in communities, adding a great deal of value.
The winning project will be sponsored by Codacy so that they can have more resources to keep on doing what they do best 💪
