If your team uses GitHub, our brand-new feature will make your work much easier and more intuitive!

We’re excited to introduce GitHub Custom Properties as Segments, a new feature set that allows you to group repositories on the Repository list page.

How It Works

Head over to your GitHub organization or repository and add custom properties. These customer properties appear in Codacy as “segments.”

Here’s an example of how you can use it:

  • Create a "team" custom property in GitHub to assign teams responsible for different repos and sync those segments with Codacy.
  • Congrats! You can now filter repositories according to the “team” segment you’ve created.

Pretty neat, right?

If you want to push a custom property to a whole set of reports, check out our GitHub API docs.

To all our GitLab and Bitbucket users, we haven’t forgotten about you! Integrations with these version control platforms are coming soon
